1 lb lean ground beef
4 medium russet potatoes, thinly sliced
1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Butter or cooking spray
Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain and set aside.
Thinly slice potatoes and onions.
Mix soup and milk in a bowl until smooth.
Grease slow cooker insert.
Layer 1/3 of potatoes, onions, and beef. Season, pour soup mixture, and sprinkle cheese.
Repeat layers twice, finishing with cheese on top.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3.5–4 hours.
Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving.
