A savory bake combining seasoned beef, caramelized onions, melty cheese, and golden biscuits, inspired by the classic French dip sandwich.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked shredded roast beef
1½ cups beef broth or au jus
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
8 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
2 tbsp butter, melted
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp parsley (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp oil or butter for sautéing

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Cook onions in oil over medium heat until soft and golden, about 8–10 minutes.

  • Add beef, broth, and Worcestershire. Simmer until warmed through.

  • Spread mixture in a greased 9×13-inch pan.

  • Layer cheese over beef.

  • Slightly flatten each biscuit and place on top.

  • Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush over biscuits.

  • Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until biscuits are golden and cooked through.

  • Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
