A juicy, skillet-seared chicken dish inspired by Texas Roadhouse — coated in a garlic butter sauce that’s rich, savory, and perfect for weeknights.
4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
4 tbsp salted butter (divided)
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes, lemon juice, cream, chopped parsley
Pat chicken dry and season on both sides with spices, salt, and pepper. Let sit 10–15 minutes.
In a skillet, heat oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear 5–6 minutes per side until cooked through.
Reduce heat, add remaining butter and garlic, and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Spoon garlic butter over chicken for 2–3 minutes. Add cream or lemon if using.
Remove from heat and rest 5 minutes before serving.
