A juicy, skillet-seared chicken dish inspired by Texas Roadhouse — coated in a garlic butter sauce that’s rich, savory, and perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

  • 4 tbsp salted butter (divided)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: red pepper flakes, lemon juice, cream, chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Pat chicken dry and season on both sides with spices, salt, and pepper. Let sit 10–15 minutes.

  • In a skillet, heat oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear 5–6 minutes per side until cooked through.

  • Reduce heat, add remaining butter and garlic, and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Spoon garlic butter over chicken for 2–3 minutes. Add cream or lemon if using.

  • Remove from heat and rest 5 minutes before serving.
