A slow-cooked casserole made with seasoned ground beef, tender potatoes, cheese, and a creamy sauce. An easy, comforting meal that’s perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 5 medium russet potatoes, thinly sliced

  • 1 medium onion, sliced or diced

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • Non-stick spray

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat. Season lightly.

  2. Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray.

  3. Layer potatoes, beef, onions, cheese, and soup. Repeat layers, ending with cheese.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3½–4 hours, until potatoes are tender.

  5. Let rest briefly before serving.
