1 lb chicken breasts or thighs, thinly sliced
1 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)
1 tbsp cornstarch
8 oz noodles (egg, rice, or spaghetti)
2 tbsp neutral oil (vegetable or canola)
4 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
2 tbsp water
Optional: green onions, sesame seeds, chili flakes
Combine chicken with 1 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch. Let sit 10 minutes.
Whisk together remaining soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and water.
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse.
Heat oil in a skillet or wok. Stir-fry chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove.
In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Return chicken to the pan. Add sauce and simmer 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Toss in cooked noodles and stir until everything is coated and sticky.
Serve hot, topped with optional garnishes.
